Saffron TV viewers are in for a treat as the channel introduces a Tamil Monthly Movie Mania Friday night series named Kollywood. The series features South Indian Tamil movies. The season starts Friday 26 March at 20h00 with the film Silandhi which will also be repeated on Saturday (open time) at 13:30 on DStv channel 456.

"We are pleased to be introducing the Kollywood movie series" says Stan Joseph, Saffron TV's CEO. "To date most of our entertainment shows have been about Bollywood, and now we have acquired these South Indian Tamil movies (Kollywood is the name given to the movie industry in this region and language genre) especially for those viewers who appreciate Tamil culture."

The first movie in this series will be Silandhi - a psychological thriller about a honeymoon couple dealing with the repercussions of a disastrous misjudgement from the bride's past. Directed by Aadhiraj, and starring Munna, Monica, Riyaz Khan and other well known actors, it offers compelling and exciting viewing.
